Freedom: Richard Pierce Havens 1941-2013

Rest in peace Richie Havens 1941-2013 iconic American musician of the 60s counterculture who passed away at his home in New Jersey. DITHOB caught Mr Havens' performance at a wonderful outdoor lunchtime show a few summers ago at Brooklyn's Metrotech. Born in Brooklyn, Mr Havens interspersed his many classic original and cover versions songs with stories of playing stickball on Howard Avenue (met with cheers from the diverse crowd).
